The Problem
Addressing user challenges in ad creation
In the first iteration of our self-service platform redesign, we tackled a critical user needs – activation and optimizing the campaign booking process. This initial focus proved successful, streamlining the user experience for creating campaigns. However, user research revealed a lingering pain point: the struggle with crafting effective ad copy and selecting captivating visuals for their ads. Many users, especially those new to advertising, expressed difficulties in formulating clear and engaging copywriting alongside choosing impactful images, hindering their ability to create truly compelling ads.
The Challenge
How might we...?
In today's competitive landscape, effective ad copy and visuals are the lifeblood of campaign success. Users require clear and engaging messages that resonate with their target audience, coupled with visually captivating elements that grab attention. While our platform offered a creative studio for advanced users, the core ad creation process remained largely manual, requiring users to independently brainstorm, write, and source visuals for their ads.
This user pain point presented a compelling design challenge:
How Might We empower users at all levels to create compelling ad copy and select captivating visuals, streamlining the ad creation process and enhancing the user experience?
